Alfred has worked for corporations of all sizes in a diverse range of Industries, including small business owners; mid-size entities (private factories, shopping malls etc..); large MNCs and Public Utilities/ Municipalities.
Ottavio has been based in Singapore since August 1997, after living in Europe and Middle East for 30 years. After a significant experience in banking, covering corporate banking, trade finance and Correspondent banking, he spent the last 14 years supporting European companies in several of their corporate activities, from structuring their business in all its aspects, to developing their sales and distribution network in Asia Pacific. As a business development consultant, he was involved in a number of sectors, from process engineering, to consumable goods, design products, software solutions and MICE. In all his projects, the approach has always been characterized by a strong hands-on style, introducing a ‘start-up’ spirit within business development teams.
Ottavio has been and behind several ventures, mainly in the alternative energy and F&B sectors, taking an operational role in all of them in the start-up stage.
Mr. Cuthbertson is EVP, President Global Operations at NextWorth Solutions, an industry leading solutions provider in the e-Recommerce and after-market management of telephony and consumer electronics products. He is also President of Protea Solutions Group, a boutique third-party logistics, distribution and services company providing specialized services to the CE and Telecom industries in North America. Cuthbertson is also an independent Management Consultant and Executive Coach to the Retail and Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) sectors in North America, specializing in strategic business development, M&A and global supply-chains. Prior to this Cuthbertson was Practice Leader for Retail & CPG - North America, at the Alexander Proudfoot company. Alexander Proudfoot is a premiere international consulting firm specializing in operational and executional excellence.
Before Proudfoot, Cuthbertson was the President and CEO of The Source (Bell) Electronics, he was also the CEO of SeaLink Sourcing Group (Hong Kong) Ltd, a wholly owned subsidiary of The Source. Prior to Bell Canada’s acquisition of The Source, Cuthbertson was President and CEO of The Source by Circuit City (InterTAN). Previous to The Source he worked at Circuit City Stores Inc. (U.S) as CEO of Circuit City Global Sourcing Inc. (Hong Kong) and as Chief Supply Chain Officer, also the co-chair of the M&A committee.
Prior to joining Circuit City he was at Best Buy Co. (U.S.) and served in numerous roles including leading international expansion into Canada and China. A leader in BBY’s acquisition of Future Shop, he held the role of EVP Merchandising, Marketing and Supply Chain at Best Buy Canada, where he led the post-acquisition integration. Mr. Cuthbertson also served in various management positions at Sears Canada Inc, then division of Sears, Roebuck & Co., a retailer of home merchandise, apparel and automotive products and related services.
Mr. Cuthbertson holds a Masters Degree in International Strategy, Operations and Economics from Edinburgh Napier University.
Simon was trained as a solicitor in the UK. After spending 8 years in private practice and working as legal counsel for the Mitsubishi Bank and China Light & Power in Hong Kong, Simon began a career in M&A in the Asia Region. From 1997 to 2007, he led Asia M&A for Southern Energy and subsequently GE Infrastructure (energy, oil & gas, aircraft engines, rail and water technologies). From 2007 up to 2014, Simon was in various private equity leadership roles. He was China Partner of The Longreach Group and Managing Director of Lloyds Development Capital. During his career, Simon was instrumental in bringing investments of circa. USD3B to Asia. Simon is now advising multinationals coming into China and major Chinese companies seeking outbound international investments. Simon is an advisor of Actis Private Equity in the UK and Cukierman & Co. in Israel.
